Your privacy
Privacy Policy
Updated October 3, 2026. This policy describes the WNC Flute website, its calculator and build notes, and advertising services.
Calculator and build notes
The calculator performs its calculations in your browser. The site’s calculator and build-notes script does not send the values you enter to a WNC Flute server. When you choose to send a layout to Build Notes, a draft is stored in your browser’s local storage. Saved build notes, including the title, material, key, bore, date and text you enter, are also stored in local storage on that browser and device.
You can delete individual saved notes using their Delete button or clear this site’s storage through your browser settings. Clearing the form alone does not delete saved notes. Export Notes downloads a JSON file to your device; you control where that file is kept or shared. Browser storage is not a secure vault, and other people using the same browser profile may be able to see saved notes. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in notes.
Hosting, security and traffic information
Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. Website requests provide technical information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser or device information, timestamps and response status. Cloudflare may process this information for delivery, security and traffic reporting, and may use browser checks, cookies or similar technologies to detect automated traffic. The site operator can view aggregate traffic and security reports. These reports are separate from your locally saved build notes.
No separate Google Analytics tag was identified in the reviewed site pages or calculator script. This does not mean that hosting, security or advertising services process no data. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for information about its services.
Google AdSense and advertising partners
This site includes Google AdSense code for site verification and review. Ads are subject to Google’s approval and the site’s advertising and consent settings.
When advertising services are used, Google and other advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, web beacons or similar technologies to collect and use information about your visits to this and other websites. This may include identifiers, IP addresses, browser information and interactions with ads, for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and, where permitted and consented to, personalized advertising.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. Other third-party advertising vendors may also use cookies to serve and measure ads. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.
Your advertising choices
You can manage or opt out of Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center. You can learn about participating advertising companies and opt-out choices at Digital Advertising Alliance choices and Your Online Choices. These choices may depend on your browser, device and region, and do not remove all advertising.
Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies and site storage. Clearing site storage can remove saved build notes and consent preferences.
EEA, UK and Switzerland consent
Before personalized ads are served to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a Google-certified consent management platform must be configured to obtain required consent. When a consent message is available, use its choices to accept, decline or manage purposes and advertising partners, and its privacy settings to revisit your choice. This policy is information about data practices; it is not a consent dialog and does not itself grant consent.
Affiliate links
No affiliate IDs or product links were added in this release. Future affiliate links will be disclosed nearby. Following a merchant link lets that merchant process your visit under its own privacy policy and may use referral identifiers. See Affiliate Disclosure.
Links and policy updates
External websites have their own privacy practices. This policy may be updated when the website or its services change; the date above identifies this version.
Saved inputs, import and share links
Last calculator inputs, Workbench preference, and the last-export time are saved locally. JSON import reads a file on your device after your selection and validates it before offering merge or replacement. Notes are not uploaded. A share link includes calculator inputs in its URL. Anyone with the link can read those values; opening it sends that URL to the hosting service and it may appear in browser history or request logs. Do not include sensitive information. Clear site storage in browser settings to remove locally saved inputs and preferences.
